- the Urban Development Authority has identified the land area belonging to Sri Lanka Ports Authority at Lotus Road as the suitable area for the relocation of the Fort Police Station. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Highways, Ports and Shipping, to allocate one (01) acre of identified land belonging to Sri Lanka Ports Authority at Lotus Road to the Police Department for the construction of the Fort Police Station, was approved by the Cabinet.
