- the proposal made by Hon. S.B. Dissanayake, Minister of Higher Education, to purchase the land in extent of 74.5 perches and the building situated at G.H. Perera Mawatha, Boralesgamuwa, at a price valued by the Chief Government Valuer, to be developed to provide accommodation for about 1200 students of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura, was approved by the Cabinet.
