- Cabinet approval has already been granted to obtain grant assistance of Euro 04 mn. and Euro 5.5 mn. under the development assistance of the Government of Federal Republic of Germany for the completion of 2 development projects namely, Establishment of a Vocational Training Centre in the Northern Province and SME Sector Development Project in Sri Lanka. The German Government has agreed to provide further technical assistance of Euro 06 mn. for the completion of the present activities and for financing of additional activities of these projects. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to sign the Exchange of Notes for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
