- it has been proposed to establish a new National School within the Sabaragamuwa Province in a block of land closed to the Ratnapura Town. The construction work is to be commenced in the third quarter of the year 2014 and completed within three years. The school will consist of ten parallel classes from Grade 6 to Grade 13. The proposal made by Hon. Bandula Gunawardena, Minister of Education, to proceed with the related activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
