- Anuradhapura town is the main commercial and administrative town in the North Central Province. The Urban Development Authority (UDA) has prepared the Anuradhapura Town Development Plan and under this plan it is proposed to develop the Anuradhapura Public Fair in an extent of 1.19 Ha of land, which is owned by the Anuradhapura Municipal Council. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence and Urban Development, to proceed with the project was approved by the Cabinet.
