International Development Association funded Climate Resilience Improvement Project (CRIP) - Award of contract for the consulting services for Investigation, Design and Construction Supervision for Implementing Landslide Rectification Measures for selected Roads to National Building Research Organization through Direct Contracting Procedure

- the Government of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Climate Resilience Improvement Project and US$29 million has been allocated for slope stabilization investments. The selected consultant is expected to investigate and design slope stabilization along the following roads selected under the Transport Continuity Sub Programme:

* Kandy - Mahiyangana Road (A 026)
* Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Road (A 005)
* Colombo-Ratnapura-Wellawaya-Batticoloa Road (A 004)
* Kegalle-Bulathkohupitiya-Karawanella Road (A 021)
* Avissawella-Hatton-Nuwara Eliya Road (A 007)

The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Highways, Ports and Shipping, to proceed with the related activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
