- Cabinet approval has already been granted to convert the DFCC Bank as a Company incorporated under the Companies Act, No.07 of 2007 to facilitate the proposed merger of DFCC Bank, DFCC Vardhana Bank and NDB Bank as announced in the Budget proposals for 2014. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to publish the draft Bill prepared for the purpose in keeping with the recommendations of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Legislation, in the Government Gazette and thereafter, submit it to Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
