- Climate Change has been identified as a major environmental issue threatening the global sustainable development and poverty eradication. The CTCN provides services to developing countries by responding to requests for technical assistance to identify the technology needs and facilitate the preparation and implementation of technology projects and strategies to face the climate change impacts. The proposal made by Hon. Susil Premajayantha, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy, to nominate the Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy as the National Designated Entity (NDE) for the Climate Technology Centre and Network, was approved by the Cabinet.
