- the Government has achieved 100% electrification levels in seven Districts, during the period 2005 to 2013. The proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Minister of Power and Energy, to procure the necessary material in order to reach the 100% target in the other seventeen Districts as well, was approved by the Cabinet.
