- the proposal made by Hon. Janaka Bandara Thennakoon, Minister of Lands and Land Development, to adopt the provisions stipulated in the Land Acquisitions (Payment of Compensation) Regulations - 2013 published in the Government Gazette No.1864/54 dated 2014?05?30, for the payment of compensation to the parties affected due to land acquisitions for Matara?Hambantota Extension of Southern Expressway and the Construction of the Northern Expressway, was approved by the Cabinet.
