- the proposal made by Hon. W.D.J. Seneviratne, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs, to construct a New Building Complex for the District Secretariat, Batticaloa in the Thiraimadu area, in keeping with the town development plan of Batticaloa, at a total cost of Rs.804 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
