- on an invitation extended by His Majesty the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. the President, accompanied by a high level delegation undertook a State visit to that country and this had been the first ever State visit to Bahrain by a Head of State of Sri Lanka. During the officials meetings the Leaders of the two countries had covered a wide range of bilateral issues as well as regional and multilateral issues of mutual interests. Hon. Neomal Perera, Acting Minister of External Affairs furnished the above information to the Cabinet.
