- the Ministry of Highways, Ports and Shipping has identified 26.13 km of National Highways in the Western Province for upgrading, improvement and widening at a total cost of US $22.7 million and the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) has agreed to provide a loan of US $17 million for the above project. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to enter into a loan agreement with the OFID to obtain the said loan, was approved by the Cabinet.
