- the proposal made by Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Water Supply and Drainage, to declare the period from 16th to 22nd March 2014 as the Sri Lanka Water Week, in keeping with the decision taken by the United Nations to declare 22nd of March each year as the World Water Day, and to implement the programmes drawn up for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
