Purchase of 2200 New Buses for the Sri Lanka Transport Board - with the view to providing a better transport service to the commuters, the proposal made by Hon. Kumara Welgama, Minister of Transport, to award the contract for the supply of 2200 new buses, made up of 800 two door 42 seater buses at the unit price of US $31,100 and 1400 semi luxury 54 seater buses at the unit price of US $34,100, to Ashok Leyland Ltd. India, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee (CANC), was approved by the Cabinet. |
