- Cabinet approval has already been granted to award the contracts for the rehabilitation and improvements to the following priority roads with financial assistance from local Banks:
* Kirinda-Palatupana-Yala Road (B499) (0 - 12.50 km);
* Thalgodapitiya - Yatawatta - Dombawela Road (B409) (0 - 26.40 km); and
* Passara - Monaragala Road (A22) (0 - 27.0 km).

The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning to enter into loan agreements for the purpose with the relevant local Banks, was approved by the Cabinet.
