- the Asia Pacific Postal Union is an Organization with a membership of 32 countries in the Region and its objective is to promote better relations between its member countries in providing postal services. The proposal made by Hon. Jeevan Kumaranathunga, Minister of Postal Services, to host the 50th Executive Committee Meeting of Asia Pacific and to organize the International Stamp Exhibition and to proceed with the relevant activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
