- this Conference was held in Sri Lanka in November 2013 with the participation of 47 delegates from Member Countries. As the host country, Sri Lanka was offered Chairmanship of the Inter-Governmental Group on Natural Fibres for the next 02 years. Sri Lanka being the World's Second Largest Exporter of coir products is presently going for more value added production in the fibre sector. The above information provided by Hon.
