- the above Conference was held in Seoul, South Korea towards the latter part of 2013 and a delegation from Sri Lanka headed by Hon. Bandula Gunawardena, Minister of Education attended this Conference and the Hon. Minister informed the Cabinet that discussions have been concluded in particular relating inter alia, to the following:

* obtaining technical assistance for programmes of annual training conducted for teachers required for the G.C.E. (A/L) Technological Subject Stream;
* offering scholarships for Graduate Courses in Korean Universities for Sri Lankan students in the field of information technology; and
* obtaining equipment required for technological laboratories.
