Nuwara Eliya City Beautification Programme

- the Urban Development Authority has undertaken several projects in the Nuwara Eliya town where priority has been given for the beautification of Lake Gregory surroundings which is a significant location for tourism in the Nuwara Eliya District. The land previously used for the cut flower project has now been developed for public recreational purposes. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence and Urban Development, to proceed with the relevant development activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
