Appointment of Consultants for Designing, Construction Supervision & Management Support for the Anuradhapura North Water Supply Project - Phase I
- the above Water Supply Project is financed by the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) and Government of Sri Lanka at a cost of Japanese Yen 5166 million and a contribution of Rs.2789 million by the Government of Sri Lanka. The project consists of the following 2 phases:

* Phase I - Mahakandarawa Water Supply Scheme which provides drinking water to Medawachchiya and Rambeawa Divisional Secretaries' Divisions; and

* Phase II - Wahalkada Water Supply Scheme which provides drinking water to Kahatagasdigiliya, Kebithigollewa, Horowpathana and Padaviya Divisional Secretaries' Divisions.

The proposal made by Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Water Supply and Drainage to award the tender for Consultancy Services for Phase I of the project as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
