Programme funded by the Local Banks for the Rehabilitation of National Highways through Domestic Contractors - Award of Contracts

- the proposals made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, for the rehabilitation of the following highways/bridges through domestic contractors, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), with funds to be provided by the local Banks, were approved by the Cabinet:

* Kalugamuwa - Wilakatupotha Road (B 190) from 0 - 21.180 km

* Kadawatha - Nittambuwa on Colombo - Kandy Road (A 1) - 23.00 km

* Road Section from Nittambuwa to Kandy on Colombo - Kandy Road (A 1) - 40.54 km to 114.50 km; and Road Section from Galle to Deniyaya (A 17) - 78.20 km
