- the proposal made by Hon. W.D.J. Seneviratne, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs, to appoint a Cabinet Sub-Committee headed by Hon. D.M. Jayaratne, the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs and consisting of 07 other Ministers including the Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs and the Chief Minister, Sabaragamuwa Province and a Deputy Minister, to prepare the programme and to organize and monitor the necessary matters relevant to the 66th Independence Day Celebrations falling on 04th February 2014, and for the Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs to function as the Secretary to this Cabinet Sub-Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
