- Regional Industrial Estates Development Programme is being implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, with the objective of promoting industries at Regional Level.  The proposal made by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, Minister of Industry and Commerce, to allocate blocks of land from Industrial Estates on lease basis to prospective investors, subject to stipulations,  was approved by the Cabinet.
