- it has been observed that the enthusiasm in State and Private Sector Training Institutions as well as in the Industrial Sector for the competent work course has resulted in the socio-economic development of the country and accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma, Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development, to declare July 15th as the National Day for Technical, Vocational Education and Training, was approved by the Cabinet.
