- this programme is to be implemented covering Kurunegala, Puttalam and Kegalle Districts  and the National Exhibition will be held in the premises of Wayamba University, Technical College and Central College in Kuliyapitiya, in parallel with the  Independence Day - 2014.  The programme is implemented with the following objectives:

*    implementation of projects aimed at fulfilling community needs at Family, Village and Area Levels;

*    implementation of projects that can be completed within a shorter period of time, taking into consideration the people's needs;

*    addressing various administrative problems and public grievances in the area by government officials;

The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to proceed with the programme of work in collaboration with all Ministries and Institutions under their purview, was approved by the Cabinet.
