this project area is situated in the Hambantota District and it covers 34 Grama Niladhari Divisions of the Katuwana and Walasmulla Divisional Secretaries' Divisions.  The proposal made by Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Water Supply and Drainage, to award the above contract for a sum of Euro11,139,931.64 as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Review Committee (SCARC) and to request the General Treasury to allocate funds to meet the local funding requirement,  was approved by the Cabinet.
