Construction and Upgrading of Peripheral Blood Banks coming under the National Blood Transfusion Services of Ministry of Health

- it has been found necessary to provide essential equipment for peripheral blood banks to ensure the safety and further processing of various types of certifications required for blood transfusion purposes. Accordingly, 06 regional and 13 cluster level blood banks are to be developed with necessary infrastructure and 66 blood banks will be upgraded with necessary equipment to cater to the demand. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to enter into loan agreements for the purpose with the Rabobank International of Netherlands and the Hatton National Bank, was approved by the Cabinet.
