Rehabilitation and Improvements to the Road Sections from Dehiowita to Deraniyagala and from Thambalagamuwa to Surangal Junction

- the proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, to utilize a part of the loan of approximately US $60 million from the Saudi Fund for Development, for the rehabilitation and improvements to the following sections of roads, was approved by the Cabinet:

* road section from Dehiowita to Deraniyagala (From 0 to 14.0 km) on Dehiowita - Deraniyagala - Noori Road (B093) at a cost of Rs.1,092,571,553.13; and

* road section from Thambalagamuwa to Surangal Junction (From 0 to 8.5 km) on Thampalakamam - Kinniya Road (B541) at a cost of Rs.875,848,040.63.
