Weeraketiya Town Centre Development

- the Urban Development Authority (UDA) intends to develop the Weeraketiya Town Centre under the Small Township Development Programme and the area identified to be developed is about 1.2 km in length. The project includes the development of walkways, construction of boundary walls, re-location of shops / houses, construction of Public Vehicle Park etc. The above proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence and Urban Development, to implement the above project at a total cost of 71.0 million, with funds to be provided under the Medium Term Budgetary Frame Work, was approved by the Cabinet.
