Sale of items by vendors at Bus Stands and Railway Stations

- the recommendations made by the Officials' Committee appointed by the Committee of Ministers, to formulate a methodology for the above purpose, were approved by the Cabinet for implementation. Some of them are as follows:

* data pertaining to those engaged in self employment for the sale of items at bus stands and railway stations will be collected and action will be taken to register such persons.

* a uniform and an identity card will also be issued to such persons.

* combining those engaged in self employment as above with the Divineguma Enterprise Development Programme shall be considered.

* those engaged in the trade will be supervised by the authorities concerned.
