Construction of the Official Residence and the Staff Quarters, Sri Lanka High Commission in London

- Cabinet approval has already been granted to design and construct a new building for the purpose, to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB). The proposal made by Hon. (Prof.) G.L. Peiris, Minister of External Affairs, to revise the total cost estimate of the project to Rs.881,463,040.26, to incorporate several additional architectural features on the advice of the Consultant Architect in the United Kingdom, such as increased floor areas, various planning requirements of the Westminster Council, Geological conditions at the site etc., was approved by the Cabinet.
