Project for Construction and Rehabilitation of 25 Bridges of the National Road Network

- the Kuwait Fund for Arabic Economic Development has agreed to provide loan assistance in a sum of Kuwait Dinars 10 million (approximately US $36 million) for implementation of the construction and rehabilitation of 25 bridges on the National Road Network. This includes, 09 bridges in the Western Province, 03 bridges in the Southern Province, 05 bridges in the North Western Province, 04 bridges in the Sabaragamuwa Province, 03 bridges in the Northern Province and 01 bridge in the Eastern Province. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to proceed with the loan arrangements, was approved by the Cabinet.
