A Credit of United States Dollars 200 million from the International Development Association (IDA) of World Bank for the Second Health Sector Development Programme

- the Ministry of Health, in consultation with the Provincial Health Authorities and other stakeholders, has formulated a National Health Development Plan for period from 2013 to 2017 in line with the Development Policy Framework of the Government and the Health Sector Master Plan. The International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank has agreed to provide financial assistance of US $200 million equivalent of Special Drawing Rights (SDR) for the is programme which covers the following:

* malnutrition
* prevention and control of non-communicable diseases
* maternal and child health and prevention and control of communicable diseases<> * health system improveme
the proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to proceed with the loan arrangements, was approved by the Cabinet.
