Model Secondary School - Matara

- on the proposal made by Hon. Bandula Gunawardena, Minister of Education, to develop the new school buildings with 36 class rooms constructed in an extent of 2 acres of land adjoining the University of Ruhuna, Cabinet approval was granted to develop it as a Model Secondary School under the 1000 Secondary Schools Development Project.
