Anuradhapura North Water Supply Project Phase 1

- the proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to construct a Water Supply Scheme to provide safe drinking water for the people living in Anuradhapura North area, with loan facilities amounting to Japanese Yen 5,166 million (approximately Rs.7,458 million) to be provided by the Government of Japan, was approved by the Cabinet. It is intended to cover Medawachchiya and Rambewa Divisional Secretariat divisions in the Anuradhapura District under the Mahakandarawa Water Supply Scheme in the first instance, and to implement the design stage of the Wahalkada Water Supply Scheme in the ensuing year.
