Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2013-01-03

Ministers Forum of Tea Producing Countries - 20th to 22nd January 2013

- the Ministry of Plantation Industries and the Sri Lanka Tea Board have taken initial actions to host a meeting of Ministers from tea producing countries in Colombo from 20th to 22nd January, 2013. The 7 participating countries are India, Kenya, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malavi, Tanzania and Rwanda. The proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe, Minister of Plantation Industries, to proceed with the activities of the above meeting, was approved by the Cabinet.
