Asian Development Bank Funded National Highways Sector Project - Rehabilitation and Improvements to the Road Section from Aluthgama to Southern Expressway B-157 (West) (42.60 km to 53.67 km)

- the government of Sri Lanka has received a loan of US$ 85 million from the Asian Development Bank for financing a portion of the highway upgrading component of the National Highways sector project. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, to award the above contract to the lowest evaluated responsive bidder at a contract sum of Rs.1,689,058,167.50, was approved by the Cabinet.
