Construction of Provincial and District Sports Complexes - Southern Province

- based on the proposal made by Hon. Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Minister of Sports, to construct the Football and Rugby Ground of the Southern Province National Sports Complex at Sooriyawewa, Cabinet approval was granted to develop the said Sports Complex for conducting all sports activities in keeping with international standards and to provide funds for the purpose in Medium Term Budgetary Framework 2013 - 2015, so as to implement the project in stages within a period of 3 - 5 years.
