Awarding of Contract - Consultancy Services for Habarana-Veyangoda Transmission Line Project - Bid No:PD/TCO/FST/8/11

- the construction of 220 KV Transmission Line between Habarana and Veyangoda is one of the priority projects of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to transmit power that will be generated by the Trincomalee Sampur Coal Power Plant. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has agreed to provide funding assistance of Japanese Yen 9573 million with GOSL counterpart funding of Rs.2434 million to implement the project very early. The proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Power and Energy, to authorize CEB to award the consultancy services contract as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Consultancy Procurement Committee (CACPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
