Financial Assistance for the Implementation of Greater Ratnapura Water Supply Scheme - Phase I

- around 160,000 people living in Ratnapura, Kuruvita and Pelmadulla DS Divisions will be benefited by implementation of this project. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to enter into a loan agreement with a Bank in Spain to obtain a Buyer's Credit in a sum of Euro 21,930,000 to finance 85% of the project cost and to obtain domestic funds equivalent to Euro 3,870,000 from a local Bank, was approved by the Cabinet.
