Improvement of physical facilities at Hardy Technical College, Ampara

the proposal made by Hon. Dallas Alahapperuma, Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development, to construct a three storied building consisting of class rooms, an auditorium etc. and for the provision of other necessary equipment at a cost of Rs.192 million, and to obtain the services of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau for the preparation of the relevant plans and consultations with regard to the construction work, was approved by the Cabinet. Action will also be taken to upgrade this Technical College to a University of Technology with funds to be provided under the Medium Term Expenditure Framework 2013-2015, through the Tertiary and Vocational Education Development Programme to be financed by the Asian Development Bank.
