China Development Bank Funded Priority Road Project - Phase II - Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision

- the China Development Bank has agreed to provide US $500 million for phase II of the project. The civil works of the project intends to rehabilitate 504.9 km. of roads in the Western, Southern, Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, North Western and North Central Provinces and 85.0 km. of Provincial roads in the Nuwara-Eliya District. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, to award the contract for consultancy services for the Southern Region and the Northern Region for a contract sum of Rs.337,616,000.00 and Rs.401,404,000.00 respectively, was approved by the Cabinet.
