Construction of a new building for Audio Video Centre of the Department of Agriculture to upgrade IT services and the establishment of a National Agriculture Information Network

- the Cabinet of Ministers has already granted approval to construct an Audio Video Centre for the Department of Agriculture at a cost of Rs.100 million. The proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Minister of Agriculture, to expand the scope of the Centre by empowering it with information technology facilities so as to cater to the media needs of the Ministries and other Government Agencies involved in agriculture related activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
