65th Independence Day Celebrations - 04th February 2013

the proposal made by Hon. W.D.J. Seneviratne, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs, to appoint a Ministerial Committee consisting of the following to make necessary arrangements for the 65th Independence Day Celebrations, was approved by the Cabinet:

Ministerial Committee

* Hon. D.M. Jayaratne,
Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana
and Religious Affairs - (Chairman);

* Hon. W.D.J. Seneviratne,
Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs;

* Hon. Bandula Gunawardena,
Minister of Education;

* Hon. Keheliya Rambukwella,
Minister of Mass Media and Information;

* Hon. T.B. Ekanayaka,
Minister of Culture and the Arts;

* Hon. Najeeb Abdul Majeed,
Chief Minister,
Eastern Province;

* Hon. M.K.A.D.S. Gunawardena,
Deputy Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs; and

* Hon. Wijaya Dahanayaka,
Deputy Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs.

Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs will function as the Secretary to this Committee.
