Award of contract for the construction of Roads and Flyovers in Hambantota Hub Development Project

- the following Roads and Flyovers have been included for construction in a separate contract package in the above project:

* Mirijjewila - Sooriyawewa Road - 23.34 km.
* Sooriyawewa-Moraketiya-Embilipitiya Road - 18.28 km.
* Outer Circular Road 6.64 km.
* Ranna-Wetiya Road - 16.15 km.
* Wetiya-Sooriyawewa-Andarawewa Road - 18.53 km.
* Flyovers at Wetiya-Namadagaswewa

85% of the total cost will be funded by the EXIM Bank of China and the balance 15% by the Government of Sri Lanka. The proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Ports and Highways, to award the above contract on the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, to the China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, was approved by the Cabinet.
