Establishment of 03 New Youth Corps Centres

? presently, there are 37 Youth Corps Centres throughout the country which provide 06 months training in personality development and leadership qualities and about 15,000 male and female youth undergo training at these centres annually. On completion of their training, they are referred to the Public Sector as well as the Private Sector for prefessional training according to their preference for employment. The proposal made by Hon. Dallas Alahapperuma, Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development, to establish 03 more Youth Corps Training Centres at Pannala, Senkadagala and Bibile at a total cost of Rs.250 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
