Implementation of Broadlands Hydropower Project

? Cabinet approval has already been granted to award the above contract to M/s. China National Electric Equipment Corporation of China (CNEEC) who submitted the lowest evaluated and technically responsive bid. 85% of the total cost, being US $ 69,723,605.35, is to be borne by a bank in China and the balance 15% by a domestic bank in Sri Lanka. The proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Power and Energy, to obtain 15% of the contract sum of US $ 12,304,166 from the Hatton National Bank, was approved by the Cabinet.
