Rehabilitation of Kilinochchi Water Supply Scheme under Japanese Grant - Aid

- the Government of Japan has agreed to provide a grant of Japanese Yen 677 million to be utilized for the above project. The existing water treatment plant will also be rehabilitated under this project. This project is to provide an adequate supply of safe drinking water to nearly 4500 houses and more than 20,000 people living in 14 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Kilinochchi District, will be benefited. The project is scheduled to commence in January 2013 and completed by February 2014.
