A regulatory and supervisory mechanism for Micro Finance Institutions in Sri Lanka

- the proposal made by H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance and Planning, to introduce legislation to regulate and supervise Micro Finance Institutions in the country to ensure the financial stability in that sector and to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft legislation for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
